Sherry Archer

Sherry served as Assistant Professor of Nursing at Linfield College’s Portland campus. She traveled to Cameroon in 2006 to prepare for the nursing students’ trip and accompanied the students in January 2007, 2009, and 2011.

David Groff

An historian of Africa, David served for 21 years as Director of Linfield College’s Portland campus until his retirement in the Spring of 2009. He traveled to Cameroon in 2006 to prepare for the Linfield nursing students’ collaboration with WEH. He then accompanied students to Cameroon for their January term abroad in 2007, 2009, and 2011.

Carol and Ruth were roommates at Linfield College, McMinnville campus. In 2009, Carol spent several months in Cameroon participating in WEH's activities and saw the importance of keeping children in school and helping women become strong and sufficient.

Ruth heads WEH and is based in Cameroon. Ruth received a B.A. from Linfield College and her M.S. in Public Health from Loma Linda University in California

David Anderson

David is Allan Anderson's oldest son. He first met Ruth when Allan brought her home to stay for a few days after flying to the US from Congo to begin her schooling. David participated in fund-raising efforts to pay for Ruth's expenses at Linfield. David is retired after working in health care managing clinical, anatomic, and research laboratories. He has supported WEH's work since the earliest days of FWEH.
